Southern California Riverside County Young Republicans
I hope you have had a great summer. For those of you who may not have noticed, Presidential politics is in full swing and things are really heating up. I must admit, at first I was a little turned off by the Republican field of nearly 20 candidates. But after seeing what a robust debate has resulted (and some unlikely stars on the rise), I am actually quite encouraged and excited. With that being said there are a lot of exciting things on the horizon and if we do our part an stay engaged, this time next year we will be spending time with the Republican nominee for President!
-Tomorrow night, Aug 20th at 6:30pm at the Mission Inn in Riverside, Assemblyman Chad Mayes will be the guest speaker at the Republican Party of Riverside County meeting. You are all encouraged to attend (of course it is free of charge).
-The California Republican Party Convention is Sept 18-20 and Mario Herrera will be sending out solicitations for interest in rooms. Some of the speakers schedules are Gov. Scott Walker and Gov. Mike Huckabee.
-There will be a YR meeting in Sept and Jay Taneja will be making coordination for that as I will be recovering from surgery and will be checked out for the month of Sept.
-The Republican Party of Riverside County will be hosting its annual Liberty Dinner on Oct 3rd. The Riverside County YRs will be getting at least one table.
-We had a successful Shootout Fundraiser and I want to thank all that contributed and participated, and a special shout out to Mario Herrera for his efforts in planning and organizing the event.
I look forward to seeing you all in the coming months and I am really exciting about this upcoming Presidential election year.
It has been an exciting and eventful 2015 thus far! The Riverside County Young Republicans has positioned itself as the premier organization for young, conservative-minded professionals who are dedicated to forwarding the Republican cause and supporting Republican candidates. RCYR members are heavily engaged with political organizations and elected officials throughout the region, many have earned employment and high level positions within these organizations and offices. So far this year, RCYR members have been found on the delegate floor at the CRP Convention, having dinners with Congressman and having breakfast with Presidential candidates. Our membership and our influence are increasing every day. It is truly and exciting time to be a Young Republican!

_Our nationO2014 was a great year for the Republican Party! Taking control of the U.S. Senate was crucial to putting a halt to the suffocating liberal agenda that has been slowly eating away at the fabric of America. The battle is not over yet, not by a long shot. There are still entities in our midst that seek to expand government power over individuals, curb entrepreneurship, weaken our position internationally, and strip Americans of some of their most basic rights.
2015 and 2016 will, once again, be critical years for the nation and it is imperative that we do all we can to put the right people into office to represent the BEST interests of America. To that end, the Riverside County Young Republicans, in close partnership with all affiliated groups and clubs, will conduct outreach operations and fundraising efforts in order to empower the Party to put forth outstanding candidates and promote our platform. We will share our vision and our message, a message that supports liberty, strength, responsibility and common sense.
In the coming year, we will gather to discuss and implement a strategy for accomplishing our goals. We will introduce our friends and neighbors to the Republican Party and show them what we are all about, and (as always) we will have fun doing it. We will build a strong coalition of people, whether they are Conservative, Liberatrian or Independent, in an effort to fight against the forces that would undo the American Spirit. As I did last year, I ask that everyone contribute the time that they can in order to make their mark on the political landscape. Go forward and do great things!
