Beware the Ides of March...No not the Clooney flick, its actually a Shakespeare reference and just so happens to be the date set for our endorsement meeting.  Its time to dues up for most members and dues must be paid prior to the meeting. As always our endorsement meetings offer a discounted membership fee so now is the best time to renew membership. Dues are regularly $50 for general membership and $25 for students. Dues for the evening of our endorsement gathering will be $40 for general membership and $20 for students.  The cost of attendance for non members is $5 which helps to cover event costs. Appetizers and beverages will be served accompanied by a no host bar.

ENDORSEMENT PROCESS

Here's how it works:

The qualifications for active membership to participate in the endorsement vote is such that you must be between the ages of 18-40, a registered Republican, either live or work in Riverside County and dues must be paid by 6:30pm.

To earn RCYR's endorsement a candidate must receive a majority vote of members present in caucus fashion. Majority means 50% plus 1, however in the event abstentions occur and no candidate in a particular race receives an actual majority, there is no endorsement. For example, if 100 members attend 51 votes are required for endorsement anything less constitutes no endorsement.

Candidates will only be allowed an opportunity to address the membership if an RSVP is received no later that March 8th, one week prior to the meeting to allow for time to create a timeline. If you are a candidate and are unable to attend, you can send an endorsement request letter via email to rcyrpresident@gmail.com which will be read aloud at the meeting. Republican candidates without Republican opponents will be considered on a slate for endorsement.
